I go by the name of Shan Amaru.
I’m a young innovative writer with no formal qualifications but a BTEC diploma in Performing Arts. I have been writing from a young age and from a place thats real and affective.
My writing is about human beings perceptions of each other, incorrect assumptions and timeless prejudices that continue to hold people to ridicule.
My ideas are fresh, unique and from a new perpective, mixing classical fantastic notions of poetry and play with a new eye of contemporary London.
Through my ideas I show youth and modern culture.
My work has bold subjects with colurful presentations in the form of a changing and rebellious youth. My ultimate ambition is to see my work performed and published.
My most recent development is a play titled INSIDE OUT: The silent musical. This particular play is about a teenage boy who is standing trial for the murder of a famous singer. The script is out of this world (in literacy terms and visually) and holds many diverse concepts and morals including guncrime, false allegations and streotypes in todays society.
The script for this play is written in rhyme from begining to end, and has a verbal consistantcy throughtout. I have implemented several musical concepts throughout this play, and feel that without having actual music to run along with certain parts, the power of words can be concevied with emotion and thought.
I have many creative sides within writing, and hope to one day direct a new concepts for music videos.
